Since 1994, Jack Byno & Associates have represented clients in Collin County with traffic violations and criminal charges, such as being arrested for DWI in Allen, Texas. Driving While Intoxicated is the most serious of traffic violations and it carries both criminal and civil penalties.
When you are first being investigated for an Allen DWI you will be notified that the police would like you to submit to a field sobriety test, which will include obtaining a specimen of your breath or blood. If you refuse to provide the sample or if you provide a positive specimen your driver's license will be suspended. Our attorneys have experience fighting these ALR suspensions and if need be applying for occupational driver's licenses.
The next step in the DWI process is a trip to the Allen, Texas jail. The City of Allen Police Department will formally arrest you and charge you with Driving While Intoxicated. The municipal judge will read you your rights and set your bail. Technically, you must make bond through the Collin County Jail. If you do not make bond relatively quickly, you will be transported to the Collin County Jail. Once you make bond, you will be released and will await your first court appearance.
How you proceed from here is up to you. The lawyers of our firm strongly suggest you consult with an attorney.
